We all like to think that we will remain healthy for ever but for many people there comes a time when they are not able to manage their own affairs due to old age or illness.

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) enables you to appoint a person you trust, such as a family member, friend or professional adviser, to make decisions on your behalf, should you lose your mental capacity.

There are two types of LPA:

  • property and financial affairs, such as paying bills
  • Health and welfare, such as where you live and what medical treatment you should have.

Our solicitors can advise on setting up a Lasting Power of Attorney for you or an elderly relative.

It is not too early to make an LPA so don’t delay, call your nearest office in Uxbridge, Ruislip or Greenford.
